Every Clear Night

Every Clear Night is my astrophotography — made from a backyard in Silverton, Oregon, and from remote telescopes at Starfront Remote Observatories in Texas and Deep Sky Chile in the Chilean Andes. Oregon gave me the wonder, but it rations its clear nights; the remote sites add the ones it can't.

A single image here can represent a hundred hours or more of light, gathered across many nights and patiently drawn out of a nearly black frame in processing. It is slow, deliberate work — patience, planning, and craftsmanship — and in a life that moves fast, it is how I stop time.
